Save Your Skin - The Skinny on Tanning Bed Lotions

When you tan indoors, unlike outdoors under the sun, you won’t need the same sort of lotions. Outdoor tanning, due to the relatively unregulated light of the sun, requires a lotion with a significant SPF. The SPF (which stands for Sun Protection Factor) allows you to stay out longer in the sun without risking a burn. For instance, if you use an SPF 16, you can stay in the sun without risking a burn sixteen times as long as you’d be able to stay out without the lotion.

Indoor tanning bed lotions, in contrast, are primarily designed to allow your skin to tan through them while simultaneously moisturizing your skin. And since you’re controlling exposure time by using a tanning bed, you don’t need to have an SPF factor at all. Instead, they protect your skin against drying damage while you’re getting that great tan.

You should never use a lotion or oil when tanning indoors; unlike indoor lotions, the outdoor variety will clog your pores and inhibit natural tanning, as well as potentially damage the tanning bed and equipment to the extent that you can’t get a tan from them any longer.

Tanning lotions also help you get a more natural tan under unnatural lighting. Because a tanning bed concentrates ultraviolet light while omitting other harmful light rays, you often get an orange cast to your skin by using them. The right application will encourage a golden color so that you can avoid that orange color.

Apply your chosen lotion in a smooth, even coat over every part of your body that will be exposed to ultraviolet light. Anything you don’t protect, or don’t protect adequately, will tan at a different rate from the rest of your skin, or worse, burn. Don’t forget to add lotion to your face and the back of your neck. If you tan naked, pay special attention to the more delicate parts of your body. You don’t want to burn anything vital! Because tanning does not end when you get out of the booth, you can also apply lotion after you finish to protect your skin and keep it moisturized.

Tanning lotions encourage the production of melanin, the chemical in the body that makes your skin darken when exposed to UVB rays. Most tanning bed lotions contain tyrosine, an amino acid and antioxidant, for this purpose. Adding tyrosine to your skin also slows the exfoliation process, making your tan stay longer. And it cleans your pores and removes dulling dead skin.

In many types, you’ll also find vitamin E, which can encourage the complete healing of scars, and which is also an antioxidant. All antioxidants fight aging; instead of winding up with that alligator-skin appearance many women who tan outside have, your skin may stay fresh and young-looking.

All lotions also have a moisturizer, which is actually the most important ingredient. This prevents the harsh UVB rays of the tanning bed from drying your skin. And since moist skin tans better than dry skin, the effectiveness of your tanning sessions will be increased, and you’ll need to tan less often.

A lotions also contain tan accelerators or maximizers, and a few are designed for maximum moisturizing of your skin following your session.

When you look for lotions to purchase, check with the manufacturer of the bed or with the store you bought it from first. For that matter, when you’re considering purchasing a bed, ask if the salesperson will throw in some lotion as well. You may also find discounts online, at ebay (but avoid opened or partially used bottles!), and direct from the manufacturer as overstocks.

And don’t let the higher price fool you; these lotions have higher-grade ingredients than standard sunscreen, and will help you get a darker, longer-lasting tan than you’d otherwise have.

A few brands to look at are Designer Skin, which is intended for customers concerned about aging and wrinkling. The Miracle Collection is their premium line for antiaging. John Abate products include a number of indoor tanning bed lotions that you can spray on your body and face, which is great for getting an even coat. And Fiji Blend tanning bed lotions have a unique blend of ingredients that help your skin continue darkening long after your tanning session is complete. The best rule of thumb is to remember that each salon will have its own favorite tanning bed lotion; ask about samples, and keep an open mind about switching brands.

Aging and Your Skin - Real, Practical Advice

Everywhere you look, someone is selling the magic potion for looking young. But really, do any of these potions and lotions work? Or are you better off to use natural solutions to help defy aging? Better yet, what even causes the aging to start in the first place?

We’ve heard the same things over and over; use sunscreen every single day, don’t smoke, stay active and eat foods rich in nutrients and antioxidants. So may of us tune out the advice we’ve heard a million times over, easily attributing our future fight with fine lines to heredity. After all, if mom has them, we will too.

However, studies are showing that might not be the case; in fact, these studies are showing that genetics might only account for 10-20 percent of skin aging and the rest might well be up to you. Here are some steps to save your skin.

When you wander the skin care aisle at your local store, you will notice that there are dozens of products to choose from and it’s easy to get confused. Dermatologists agree that a simple skin care routine is best. Although it may be tempting to purchase all the pretty packages, if your routine become too complex and high-maintenance, you won’t stick to it.

Wash twice each day with a mild cleanser to keep your pores clear and then use an anti-wrinkle serum. Use moisturizer in the morning with a minimum SPF of 15 and switch to a cream with alpha hydroxy acids or retinal at night to encourage exfoliation and regeneration of skin cells. Finally, use an exfoliator two to three times per week for ’smooth like a baby’s bottom’ skin.

Exercise, exercise, exercise!! When you’re moving and your heart is pumping at an increased rate, in sends blood rich in oxygen through your body. Your cells need the blood to function properly, plus, there is nothing “old” looking about freshly flushed skin.

Eat a diet full of proteins, healthy fats, good carbohydrates and fresh fruits and veggies. Protein is made up of amino acids, which are the building blocks that your cells use to repair themselves. Healthy fats, like those found in fish and avocados, have a natural and powerful anti-inflammatory effect to help keep skin supple.

One of the worst things you can eat? Sugar. As it breaks down, it binds to the collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, and weakens them so that they’re more likely to crack and break - in the end, your wrinkles begin to sag. In turn, this makes your wrinkles look more obvious.

Learn how to unwind after a stressful day - recent studies show that being constantly wound up and on the go leaves your body in a perpetual state of “fight or flight” which creates wrinkles. Not only that, the hormones released when you’re in a heightened state can lessen your immune system and make you more likely to get sick. Don’t forget to catch your zzz’s. If you’re not sleeping, your skin won’t get enough time to repair itself.

Protect yourself against pollution in the air and stay away from cigarette smoke. When dirty air is inhaled, it’s absorbed into your body and bloodstream. When this pollution makes its way to the surface, your skin shows the damage.

Your best bet is to use common sense when it comes to caring for your skin. Remember that the sun is hot and damaging and even though it feels good, it can hurt you. Get plenty of rest and take a couple of brisk, 15-minute walks during the day to unwind and reduce your stress level. Be healthy; defy aging.

Nationwide Dermatologists’ Best and Most Recommended Skincare Products

We scoured the country and asked dermatologists and other licensed skin care professionals (plastic surgeons, estheticians, etc…) what over the counter products they recommended. The problem is that there are so many products available that it can make your head spin just trying to sort through it all and find what you need. So, we wanted to get advice right from the foremost sources - America’s dermatologists. These are their top recommended skincare products and many are actually used in their offices:

1. Non harsh soaps and cleansers: Harsh soaps like Dial will dry out your skin and can induce skin problems and early aging (something you definitely don’t want). There are numerous soaps and cleansers which will not dry out your skin. Cetaphil and its cheaper generic equivalents, like Walmart’s Equate brand, was recommended by almost every dermatologist. These cleaning products will clean your face, won’t leave dirt that can clog pores, and will not over dry your skin. They are also hypo-allergenic, so people with sensitive skin types won’t get rashes or similar.

2. Non-comodogenic face lotions with sun protection: The higher the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) the better the protection. Every dermatologist basically kept reemphasizing how important it is to stay out of the sun and to protect from sun damage to your skin. UV rays from intense sunlight will age your skin and cause premature wrinkling, sun spots, broken blood vessels and capillaries, and can cause the deadliest of all cancers - malignant melanoma. Some come with botanicals, vitamins and alpha-hydroxy acids (like glycolic and malic acids) which will nourish and strengthen your skin - they also smell nice.

3. Benzoyl peroxide and beta-hydroxy acids for oily prone skin: Some of the dermatologists were for benzoyl peroxide solutions, but most favored the beta-hydroxy solutions as the benzoyl peroxide tended to irritate and dry out the skin too much. The beta-hydroxy acid (salicylic) solutions were more effective at oil removal and fully cleaning out pores.

4. Neosporin: For wound repair and healing from cuts, scrapes, and burns (like chemical peels) nothing was recommended more than Neosporin or an equivalent anti- bacterial ointment. This is documented by many medical studies and numerous articles in medical journals. These antibiotic ointments seal out bacteria and infections and greatly increase healing and lessen any resultant scarring. Dr. Horace Brown in Detroit stated, " The use of antibiotic cr

10 Tips For Picking The Perfect Prom Jewelry

A prom dress without the proper adornments is like a Christmas tree with no ornaments: no matter how beautiful it is, it seems somehow naked. If you’ve ever watched celebrities walk down the red carpet you know that they realize the importance of accessories in order to “complete the package”. Tasteful and properly coordinated accessories can really bring an outfit together while ill matched pieces will often ruin the entire outfit.

It is often difficult to decide which accessories are perfect for prom since most of us do not have the luxury of celebrity stylists to offer advice and recommendations. Keeping the following suggestions in mind as you search for the perfect compliments to your prom outfit should help you avoid any glaringly horrid accessory mistakes. The number one, time-honored piece of advice for accessorizing and proms is this: less is more. It is better to err on the side of caution than to add too many accessories and become an eyesore.

When it comes to jewelry, it helps if you select jewelry that not only goes with the overall theme you are hoping to achieve with your dress and hairstyle, but also something that you would wear after the prom as well. You do not have to choose jewelry that matches your dress, it is more important to choose pieces that compliment your entire ensemble. Pearls are always a wise selection as they are elegant and beautiful while rarely being garish. They are also friendly to budgets that may be stretched a bit thin from the purchase of a prom dress.

Your hairstyle should be considered when selecting your jewelry also. If you are going for an updo, there are many wonderful jewelry options available. For these hairstyles, studs work wonderfully and allow for bolder choices in necklaces while drop earrings also look great with this hairstyle and call for keeping other jewelry a little simpler. The same goes with hair ornaments.

If you have long hair that you are wearing down, you will need earrings that are bold and make a statement. Hoops and chandelier style earrings work really well in this particular situation. Be sure you don’t overdo the accessorizing thing by pairing these bold earrings with bold necklaces and bracelets; you only need one piece of ‘loud’ jewelry.

There are many different types of prom dresses and the dress you will be wearing should have an impact on the jewelry you wear along with it. Below are some general guidelines that should help you make wiser jewelry decisions for your special night.

1) Spaghetti straps: If you are looking for one stand out piece of jewelry to wear with this type of dress, consider a wide cuff bracelet for that special piece. You can pair it easily with stud earrings or earrings that dangle but aren’t over stated. Be sure that your date won’t be brining a wrist corsage however as this will kill the statement that the bracelet makes.

2) Strapless: This particular dress is striking gold for the jewelry lover as you can choose a necklace that really makes a statement. Be sure to wear a necklace that is short with this particular type of dress rather than one that will meet the fabric. If you choose a simple necklace you are free to add bold earrings or a bracelet in order to add that little bit of zing!

3) Short sleeved dress: It is an excellent idea to bring attention to your arms by using stackable bracelets with this type of dress. Choose a simple necklace or even go without and let your bracelets make your statement for you. If you aren’t into bangles, try for a wide cuffed bracelet instead.

4) High-necked: With this type of dress, a necklace will only serve to compete with the neckline, skip it. Instead, choose an elegant bracelet and matching earrings, gemstones work best.

5) Square-necked: This dress is an excellent choice to show off a beautiful necklace. Keep that fact in mind when choosing your jewelry. You’ll want a necklace that you can show off and understated earrings and other accessories.

6) V-necked: using a matching necklace and earring set will work wonderfully with this neckline and compliment your look nicely.

7) Plunging: For this dramatic look try pinning an antique broach at the bottom of the plunge or wearing a pearl choker from dramatic flair. Diamond collars and simple ribbons also look great with this dress; you absolutely do not want a long necklace that will take away from the drama of the plunge.

8) Simple: A simple prom dress is like a blank canvas, it is completely up to you to make your statement. Use your imagination and have fun decorating yourself.

9) Ornate: It is very difficult to find complimentary jewelry for an ornate dress. The problem is that most jewelry will only serve to distract from the beauty of the dress. Perhaps the best jewelry in this situation is a bold cocktail ring.

10) Vintage: Bring it to the future with modern bangles or necklaces that are neatly layered. Simple jewelry also works wonderfully with this type of dress.

The important thing to remember is that moderation is almost always the best choice when selecting jewelry to accentuate a dress. You do not want your jewelry competing with either the dress or other pieces of jewelry. The most important thing is to have fun. Prom is a special night, but only the first of many more to follow.

Hair Style 2006: Short and Curly

2005 was all about long hair - post “Sex and The City,” and very “Desperate Housewives.” Yes, once again, 2005 hairstyle trends were driven by what was happening in celebrity world and hairstyles were dominated by long, highly-coiffeured locks and - with the Jennifer Aniston look still reigning supreme and the Sedu hair straightener selling in big numbers - straight hair was definitely the style of choice. But, new year, new styles - so what will be the 2006 hairstyle trends?

Short, Short, Short

The one thing that all the trend watchers and experts are agreed on is that 2006 hairstyles will be getting shorter. Celebrities such as Charlize Theron will be setting the trends as 2006 hairstyles will be emphasized by no-frills, chic styles. The craze for ultra-long locks will be diminishing. This might be a big blow to the hair extension trade, but maybe not; moderately long, mid-length hair will still be popular, so you extension technicians can breathe a sigh of relief!

However, 2006 will see a big rise in the pixie look - short manageable hairstyles. Formal hairstyles will also be big; but in a much more subtle way than before. The cool, sleek ponytail (think Hillary Swank) will be a common hairstyle in 2006, along with plaits and simple knots.

Curl It, Don’t Straighten It!

Curls are back. Sorry Jennifer (Aniston) but the “Friends” look is sooo last year. 2006 hair will be softly curved, or in flowing waves. Even shorter hairstyles will have a touch of romance; whether its large free-wheeling curls or tight spirals, curls are back in a big way. This will be great for those with broader faces - bouncy or wavy locks make the face look much thinner. Yep, 2006 hairstyles will be curly - but don’t worry, we won’t see a return to the big-hair, big-perm days of 1980’s Farrah Fawcett. 2006 curls will be fun, funky and not take themselves too seriously. Natural curls will be the objective; hairstyles will have a touchable, genuine feel, with hair that does not appear over-managed. Power-curls will remain in the gym!

Bob It!

No style will typify the shorter 2006 hairstyles more than the bob, which began to make a big comeback in 2005 and will become increasingly popular. Bobs are great - a really versatile style that suits many different facial types. They are also simple to style and are perfect whether you are looking for a classic or a more modern style. Bobs have traditionally been worn mainly as a sleek, smooth style, but in 2006 watch out for funky bobs with lots of curls.

Fun and Fussy

With curls and waves making a big comeback, simplicity is out and stylists are predicting that rollers, pins and chemicals will be playing a big part in 2006 hair styling. Setting tools will also be in big demand as will all the products required to keep those curls in a healthy, manageable, but fresh-looking state. Stylists are also predicting that curls will be increasingly accentuated by hair accessories, such as hair bands, combs and barrettes.

The Ultimate Trend - Individuality

The final watchword for 2006 hairstyling will be individuality. Although hair will get shorter, mid-range and longer hair will remain popular, especially as worn by style icons such as Scarlett Johansson. Basically, anything goes! Curls and bobs will rule, but stylists will be encouraging more individualistic takes on the popular styles, rather than a “cookie cutter” look. Clients will be encouraged to experiment; expect your stylist to suggest new, custom-created looks. Celebrities will continue to set the trends, but 2006 hairstyles will be all about finding what is really best for you and - most of all - 2006 hairstyles will be about having fun.

Skin Care Tips For Winter

Winter is dry and this affects your skin which makes it very dry, rough and flaky. Whatever happens inside your body would surely reflect what is happening to your skin. There are healthy fats which can be very beneficial for skin too, such as olive oil as well as clarified butter. For good nourishment blanched, soaked almonds are very good. The best thing about winter you feel is the hot water bath, but too much of that would make your dryer skin more dry. So limit the hot water baths to sustain the nutrition of your body.

Are You Constantly Frustrated by Your Dry Skin?

Dry skin is a frustration many people share. No matter how many moisturizers some people try, they just cannot seem to shift it! Mainly a problem in winter, dry skin lacks the moisture which it needs to stay soft and supple. So what can you do when your skin feels like it constantly needs a drink?

The Cause of Dry Skin

Dry skin can be caused by many different factors. Even drying your skin with a towel, and generally bathing can cause it to lose some of its much needed moisture. Also, you may be surprised to find that your daily moisturizer could also be causing your skin to dry up.

Generally, dry skin is cause by a low level of sebum and it is often prone to sensitivity. If you do have dry skin you will notice that it feels tight after you have washed it. The wind and extreme temperatures can also contribute to drying out the skin, and it also causes the skin to look dull.

In some cases, dry skin could even be genetic and poor diet is often also a cause for bad skin, especially if you have deficiencies in Vitamins A and B. In some cases, it is not uncommon for dry skin to be a symptom of another health problem such as eczema or psoriasis, so sometimes it is better to get a doctors opinion. Other medical problems which dry skin could be a symptom of include an under active thyroid, diabetes, and certain drugs could also participate in the problem.

Treatments Available and Care You Should Take

You may not realize that washing the face with tap water can often leave the skin too dry. This is due to the deposits in the water. Hot water is also a definite no no as that really does sap out all of the moisture from the skin. So what are you supposed to do? Well, warm water is OK, and when you do wash your hands or expose them to tap water, you should always moisturize afterwards. This helps to keep them in tip top condition and the moisturizer keeps the skin protected. A good way to give moisture to the skin after bathing is to spray mineral water over the skin with a plant sprayer, and then lightly pat it dry. Other factors which may help include:

Gentle Cleansing

Gentle cleansing is always a good thing. Stimulation and massage of the skin really helps to encourage the production of oil within the body. Making sure you cleanse gently with a non-harsh cleanser is an essential part of looking after the skin. Avoid soap at all costs as it is one of the worst culprits that dry out the skin. Neutral PH products are the best to go for as they are the most gentle.

Moisturize Regularly

With dry skin it is absolutely essential that you moisturize regularly. There are plenty of moisturizers developed especially for dry skin so you should not have a problem finding one to suit you. The Moisturizer helps to lock in moisture and it acts as a protective layer both overnight, and throughout the day. If your skin is particularly dry, you may think about using oil instead which is a lot more moisturizing than a cream moisturizer.

Apply Baby Oil After a Bath or Shower

If you apply baby oil after a bath or shower, your skin will really thank you for it. The oil acts as a protective layer, just as a moisturizer does, and it really will lock in the moisture. You may find it a bit sticky and greasy at first, but your skin will love it!

Overall, as much as dry skin can be a pain, luckily there are plenty of products out there which can help. If you consult your doctor they may also recommend that you change your contraceptive pill as some can be used to treat skin problems too. Always remember to moisturize and always make sure that you cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser. If you follow these steps you should notice that your skin clears up within a couple of months.

Tarzan Would Love Your Fur Scarves

Many women want to know, what is the position on animal prints and patterns in today’s fashion wear? Here’s our answer: Used carefully as an accent piece, the animal print or pattern can really make a wardrobe stand out. Clearly, though, too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing, such as the leopard skin pantsuit or the alligator skin skirt!

Of particular note is how well mink, rabbit, or fox designer fur scarves can look. This popular look for today will stop people in their tracks as they look to see that gorgeous piece of fur around your neck.

Keep the rest of your outfit clean and plain and simple and use this as an accent piece to draw attention to your face. Don’t dress in too many different colors as this can make your outfit seem too busy. And remember that fur always looks good paired against cream.

Should you wear designer fur scarves? Yes! But be sure to choose wisely. Here are some pointers.

If your hair style is larger, choose a finer, smaller fur scarf so that the two aren’t competing for attention. If you have a plain do, especially if it’s swept back and off your face, you have a lot more freedom in choosing which fur designer scarves to wear.

Conscious about animal rights? Don’t forget that there are many faux fur scarf options that look real and fantastic.

Additionally, all women would do well to have at least 2 or 3 silk or organza furscarves in their closet to spice up their wardrobe. These are great for neck wraps, head wraps, or even to tie around your wrist or ankle as a small piece of -flash- …an accessory that draws attention to a great feature.

Don’t forget that fur scarves aren’t just for the formal event. You’ll look great at the office when you add one to your work wear (a very conservative piece) and when you’re out for drinks with friends after work or spending time by the lake on the weekend, a scarf shows that you’re really put together without a lot of fuss or muss.

Designer fur scarves are gorgeous fashion accessories that are really coming into their own this season as an accessory that the trendiest women must own. And many women are discovering just how great these are to throw away the feeling that your wardrobe is old and drab. Don’t spend that money on a whole new wardrobe! Pick up a few fur scarves, mix and match, and feel like a new woman again!

For Complete Bikini Treatment, a Brazilian Wax Leaves Nothing Behind

No woman wants to head to the beach without a proper shave. But when it comes to the bikini area, razors just never seem to do the job just right. Stubble left behind is unattractive, stray hairs tend to pop out at the most embarrassing of moments and its just a plain pain in the neck to deal with. The typical options for dealing with bikini hair just don’t seem to work in that most delicate of areas. This is where a Brazilian wax can really help.

But what is a Brazilian wax?

This process is simply the removal of the hair in the bikini area. A true Brazilian wax actually takes almost all of the hair from the area, leaving only a small line of hair above the vulva. The reasons for this are many, but are certainly not limited to the fact it is a heck of a lot easier than shaving and it leaves little to chance.

The Brazilian wax was popularized in the 1980s when a group of sisters from Brazil, the Padilhas, introduced the method in New York. Before too long, they had formed the J. Sisters International Salon and the concept of the Brazilian became an international hit.

Similar to regular waxing, a Brazilian involves the disrobing of a client. The area to be waxed must be covered with powder to ensure the wax doesn’t stick to the skin. Then specialized hot wax is applied to the area. Cotton strips are put on the waxed area and then removed, along with the hair, after a period of time has passed.

A full service Brazilian wax will also involve the tweezing of any stray hairs once the waxing is done. The hair that’s intended to remain once the job is done is also typically trimmed for neatness.

For a true Brazilian wax, the wax desired is generally a true beeswax rather than anything synthetic. The belief is that beeswax is better at removing more coarse pubic hairs and more effective overall.

Although not permanent, a Brazilian wax is much more lasting than shaving. It will have to be repeated every so often, but there are ways to slow down the regrowth of hair. When a hair inhibitor is used in conjunction with the waxing, the results can last for months.

Whether it’s done at home or in a salon, a Brazilian wax takes away the worries a woman might have while at the beach. With a complete removal of unwanted hair, this procedure has become an international sensation.

For those who do try it at home, make sure to get a good wax product. As the pros suggest, beeswax tends to be the best choice although synthetic products can do the trick, too. Just be certain to properly prepare the area and follow instructions to the letter. The area in question is sensitive, very sensitive.

When performed properly, a Brazilian wax can take the hassle out of dealing with the bikini area and razors.

Breast Reductions Lower Cancer Risks by 50 - 70%

Breast Cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths in women. According to the World Health Organization, over one million women will be diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide this year alone.

For women who are at high-risk for breast cancer — especially those whose mother or sisters have breast cancer — just knowing their high-risk status can create a life filled with anxiety, worry and a feeling of helplessness. It used to be that the only option they had to minimize their chances of getting the disease was to undergo a prophylactic mastectomy — which is a radical elective mastectomy to remove the breasts — a drastic step that many were understandably hesitant to take.

There is now another option for woman at high risk.

A recent study that observed thousands of women in the United States, Canada, Denmark and Sweden has proven that Breast Reductions significantly lower the risk of a high-risk woman developing breast cancer. The study determined that Breast Reductions lowered their risk by 50 to 70%.

This is both exciting and promising. To give high-risk women an option, to help them take proactive measures for their own health, is rewarding both to the patients as well as to the surgeons.

How does Breast Reduction Minimize Breast Cancer Risks?

The study concluded that the more breast tissue a high-risk woman had, the more breast cells they had that could become cancerous. In other words: if the tissue was removed it would never be able to become cancerous.

If Breast Reduction is good, wouldn’t prophylactic mastectomy be better?

Because prophylactic mastectomies can reduce a high-risk woman’s chance of acquiring breast cancer by 90%, they cannot provide a 100% guarantee against developing cancer. For many women, taking a step to have her breasts completely removed yet still retain the chance of developing cancer was not a good enough trade off.

Breast Reductions can drastically lower the chance of cancer and still allow a woman to keep her breasts. For many women this is very important.

Large Breasted and at High Risk?

For those women who are at high risk and large breasted already — enough that they have been considering Breast Reduction surgery in the past — this news should be doubly encouraging.

Breast Reductions Offer an Added Measure of Safety.

In addition to the new findings, one other benefit that has always been associated with Breast Reductions should also be pointed out. All tissue removed during Breast Reduction surgery (regardless of the woman’s “at risk” status) is biopsied. This is standard operating procedure. It can be very comforting for a woman to understand that if there were any cancerous cells — regardless of whether or not she is at risk — they would be found in post-op analysis.

Facts About Rough Diamonds

Rough diamonds are still in their natural form and have not been cut or polished. Natural diamonds are found in Octhahedra, Cubic, Macle, and Dodecahedron crystal shapes. Unless you have done some research into what rough diamonds look like it unlikely you would be able to spot a diamond in its natural setting.

Before the late 1800s diamonds were found in riverbeds and traded to noblemen who recognize the value of this hard crystal and utilized the diamonds for armor studding in their breast plates. Later on kings and queens used the rough diamonds to adorn their crowns, tiaras and other jewelry. They were not as beautiful as polish stones however, they were still prized for their beauty and uniqueness.

Diamonds was a major trade item in India during the early 1500’s. Brazil then became the next country to develop a diamond trade industry. In the late 1800’s Africa became the most prolific diamond producing country in the world after it was discovered that diamonds are found in volcanic pipes. Only about 30 of the worlds 6,000 volcanic pipes have become major diamond mines.

In the early 1990’s Canada’s Northwest Territories has become the latest entry into the great diamond rush. About 200 miles northeast of Yellowknife is the Ekati mine which produces about $600 million worth of diamonds yearly. Some expert believe that Canada will become the world’s top diamond producing area within the next 20 years.

In 1982 diamonds were found in central Alaska in the Crooked Creek. The rocks underlying central Alaska are much younger than the rocks found below the diamond mining areas of the Northwest Territories of Canada so geologists do not think Alaska will ever become a major player in the diamond market.

The largest of all rough diamonds ever found was the the famous Cullinan Diamond. It Weighed 3,106.75 carats before it was cut into multiple parts. The second largest was the Excelsior diamond which weighed 995.20 carats. Both diamonds were found in South Africa and are approximately 1 to 3 billion years old.

Octhahedra

An Octahedra is a polyhedron with eight faces. If you take two pyramids and join them together at their base you will have created an Octahedra. This is the most common form of a rough diamond.

Cubic

A cube is a three dimensional solid object bounded by six square faces. A simple box shape is in the form of a cube shape.

Macle

A Macle is one half of the Octhahedra or pyramid shaped that has been distorted. Sometimes the diamond crystal will be forming in a Octhahedra shape and the diamond will come into contact with something that breaks the Octhahedra in half and it may even rejoin together into some odd shape and will be called a Twin Macle.

Dodecahedron

A Dodecahedron is has a rounded shape with many different types of flat faces on it. A perfect one will have 20 triangular faces, 30 square faces, and 12 pentagonal faces. Nature will rarely produce something perfect in shape so a diamond will usually be a misshaped round ball with many flat faces on it.

How To Find Unique Handbags That Make A Fashion Statement

While strolling back to work from your lunch break, thinking about the afternoon schedule, you stop and look around. Then you notice that many of the other women walking down the street are carrying the same handbag you are.

This can give you a self conscience feeling that you are just one of the many instead of the confident feeling of thinking for yourself and being your own person. It is almost like going to a party and every one is wearing the same dress you are, even worse, they look better in it than you do.

Making a Statement

A handbag is like shoes or any other accessory; you would like it to make a statement about yourself. Whether it is a playful mood or a more sophisticated night out, you would like your handbag to reflect that feeling.

There are many reasons to choose a bag; one is to follow the latest fashion trend. This can be fun if you have the resources and shops to keep up with it. But eventually, you will wind up with a pile of outdated handbags you can no longer use. Other reasons are to follow the fashion of an admired celebrity, or an admired designer. But these can also leave you feeling cold and unsatisfied.

Finding Your Perfect Bag

There is the perfect bag out there for you. It may take time to find it, but it should be functional as well as fashionable. With the right bag that says “look at me” it can make a statement about the owner that words can not. It is a look and feeling that all women know when they have a well put together ensemble. That perfect unique bag for you is out there waiting for you and the hunt is on.

The first thing you need to do is to decide on material. Whether you like fabric, leather, or even macrame, knowing what type of material can help narrow the search. The next question is size. The question of size can be difficult, small handbags are very cute, but will they hold everything you need?

You can answer these questions with the adage “form follows function” find the bag you like then make it work. There is also the question of style, do you follow the new styles or do you choose something more classic so the look will last for some time.

Discussing these issues with a salesperson can help you find the perfect unique bag you have been searching for. But don’t forget about the odd places to find a unique handbag, vintage clothing stores or craft fairs can be fun places to find the bag that says this is me.

Skincare Advice For Everyone

Taking care of your skin should not be confusing nor should it require you to use a large multitude of products just to make your skin feel cleaner. In spite of all the sales hype that we see on TV and in print trying to persuade you that you need all different kinds of products most people only need a gentle cleanser and a moisturizer with anti-aging ingredients included. With that said, there are exceptions that may have a type of skin needing special care so it is important to know what kind of skin you have.

Begin by assessing what your skin type is. If your face feels dry and tight with possibly some rough patches or redness you probably have dry skin. You may even suffer from flaking and irritation. The best treatment for this type of skin is to use rich moisturizers and never use cleansers that strip oil from your skin. You should also add Omega-3 oil to your diet.

If your skin is shiny or feels slick, especially on your forehead, nose, and chin then you probably have oily skin. Although, you may not think of it as a blessing when you are young it is actually a blessing in disguise because it naturally guards against wrinkles and the effects of aging. With oily skin, you want to use cleansers that will clean the skin without removing this natural anti-aging oil.

Skin that is prone to acne and those who are older are more unique and will require more specialized treatment. Mild cleansers are still best and moisturizers should be oil free but formulated for the specific condition you may have.

People with severe skin conditions such as severe acne should seek the advice of a dermatologist who may wish to prescribe medicines and specific skin creams that are made to deal with tougher cases.

It is very easy to care for your skin once you know what your skin type is and can even become enjoyable as you use the correct products and see improvement.

Style-Impaired? Fake Eyelashes Make It Easy!

Glamour often eludes the grasp of the common woman, leaving her disgruntled and angry. She is left to wonder how celebrities exude charm and grace with seemingly no effort, while she works her butt off for absolutely nothing. Is she left with no other option but to accept her fate? Will she never be noticed?

With the advent of technology and innovative cosmetics, women can now enhance their looks without having to undergo tedious and expensive cosmetic surgery or implants. Take for example fake eyelashes. These eye enhancers achieve a dramatic look just like what Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, and other Hollywood actresses project on the big screen.

Fashion has given the limelight to fake eyelashes in portraying the kind of lashes that most people are enthralled to see. In fact, many people are now so much into thick-lashed eyes that they want to wear them on every occasion where they want to create a fashion statement.

Advantages over other eyelash products:

- Achieve longer, fuller lashes

- Less risk of eye irritatation

- Won’t run when wet

- No need to reapply every few hours

- Get the precice length you want

- More intense than other products, a seemingly theatrical and sensational appearance

Not all fake eyelashes are created equal.

What factors should you keep in mind when buying fake eyelashes?

1. Get the look

Know what appearance you are aiming to achieve before you buy. Every curve, length, color, and style depicts a different angle of drama, ranging from the most subdued glamour to the hard-hitting impression.

2. Contemplate color

Choosing the colors of fake eyelashes is just the same as choosing the ideal color of mascara. Each color has to match the kind of event and the time you will be wearing the fake eyelashes. For example, if you want to add more drama without having to use mascara, it is best that you buy black fake eyelashes. For a more natural look especially during the day, purchase a dark brown eyelash.

3. Consider the style.

Would you rather go for an inner dramatic statement or an outer full eyelash? If the fake eyelashes are densely thick, then, wishing to achieve a natural look is not the issue. Just keep in mind that when you want to acquire the natural look, choose a fake eyelash that applies to the outer edges. For a more falsified look, use the more thick-lashed fake eyelashes.

How to apply fake eyelashes:

- Know how to distinguish the right fake eyelash from the left.

- Be wary of using glue when applying the fake eyelash. Accidents may happen and the glue may seep into your eyes and may cause irritation.

- Never apply fake eyelashes with traces of eye shadows or eyeliners already present in the eyes. It has to be clean first before any application.

Indeed, fake eyelashes are not just mere tools to enhance one’s look. It functions more on how it reflects the woman’s desire to focus on women’s individualism and how a single stroke of fake lashes will definitely change and affect their sense of style. Experts say that for those who find themselves fashion-challenged, inspiration and innovative products such as fake eyelashes can be the basis of their own personal style.

Jewelry Lovers Get Wrapped Up in Bangle Bracelets

A bracelet is defined as an ornament designed to be worn on the wrist or arm. Specifically, bangle bracelets are rigid bands that can either be hinged or solid and are some of the most popular designs in modern jewelry. Because of the significant amount of metal used in the design of a bangle, these bracelets are typically more expensive than a typical chain design. For this reason, many jewelry lovers turn toward sterling silver for the most affordable and boldest designs in bangle bracelets.

In case you may be wondering why this type of sterling silver bracelet is so very popular among jewelry connoisseurs, the reasons are many. First and foremost, sterling silver is a durable metal that measures approximately 2.5 to 2.7 on the scale of hardness. Believe it or not, this means that sterling silver is actually harder than some types of gold. Durability is one of the most desirable qualities in bangle bracelets, which is why they are so very popular in sterling silver. In addition, women can enjoy a bolder look in sterling silver at a fraction of the price of gold. In terms of wear and cost, bangle bracelets designed in sterling silver are a perfect match.

When it comes to accessorizing your favorite jewelry, these popular bracelets are a design dream. The ability to easily convert from business to casual makes bangles a good investment for the woman who needs to maximize her jewelry wardrobe. It’s just as easy to wear a bangle to work in your favorite business suit as it is to toss on your favorite jeans, a plain white t-shirt and set out to run several afternoon errands. When the evening draws near, you will also find that a simple black dress will come to life with the addition of the right accessory. For many, bangle bracelets are the perfect choice for any wear and everywhere.

If you are a lover of bracelets, the bangle design will offer you a classic look with a modern twist. Featuring styles that include polished, textured and those showcasing gemstone accents, the solid nature of the bangle will provide a look that’s traditional and a durability that gives you the perfect combination of movement and reassurance in your choice of accessories. Whether at fun or at play, this popular design in bracelets is sure to have you raising your hand in victory. Best of all, the bangle is very much in style for the upcoming season making any woman who wears it one who knows her fashion and stays atop of the current trends.

How To Choose The Right Athletic Cleats For Your Particular Sport

In some sports it is crucial to wear cleated shoes for traction but many people don’t realize that in the various sports there are different and unique cleats designed to enhance the performance for each one. This particular type of athletic footwear gives greater traction and stability for those playing serious sports. Because of the differences in playing surface, movements made, and other factors one simply cannot wear the same style of cleat for every sport. In football, soccer, and baseball you will require three different styles of cleats just for those sports alone.

So now you may be wondering where to look for them since you need so many different types. Many of the larger department stores will carry cleats at low prices but for the better selection you will want to go to a sporting goods specialty store or shop online, you will also find good prices online since there so much competition. Another option is your local mall where there are sure to be specialized sporting goods stores, but expect to pay higher prices there.

When looking for cleats designed for playing football you will see that all cleats for this sports feature a center toe cleat which is designed particularly to help players get better traction and start more quickly when the ball is snapped. Due to the fact that football id such a fast moving high impact sport it is crucial to have the best support and traction possible to avoid injury and be as stable and strong as possible against your opponent. The last consideration for football cleats is the playing surface. If you are playing on artificial turf you will require a different style cleat than if on a normal grass field.

Soccer cleats are unique when compared to other cleats since they feature a rubber or polyurethane outsole. Unlike baseball cleats, the footwear designed for soccer has no midsole either. Because soccer is a very fast moving sport requiring one to run very fast and make quick movements these shoes are made to keep your feet as low to the ground as possible. Some soccer cleats are even made with aluminum cleat caps for strength as well as because aluminum is so light.

In baseball cleats are very important because the way the sport is played all of your body weight is shifted to your feet and when you are playing baseball on turf this is especially critical. Baseball, unlike football is a game in which the same motions are seldom repeated since each hit causes a different reaction to it depending on where it is hit. The majority of movements in baseball are lateral so that is why baseball cleats are made differently. Again you have to look at the type of field that you play on to decide what style of cleat to wear, for example on a hard field you will probably want a steel cleat while on turf you will want one specialized for that.

Fashion Tips For Different Occasions

Quite often, we get confused on what ensemble or outfit to wear when it comes to attending certain occasions because we want to ensure that we are wearing something appropriate. What we wear says a lot about us so it is important that we give a good impression at first glance. Also, we would want to look our shining best every time so wearing a great looking outfit is a concern to most of us.

Going simple would always work for all occasions whether it is formal or informal. Wearing something simple is the safest way to go to avoid drawing too much attention from other people especially if you are wearing something too outrageous either in design or in color. The great thing also with a simple ensemble is that you could always play with various accessories without looking too much of a clutter.

Always have a simple dress that you could use for a day wedding or a graduation occasion. The color all depends on your taste but those in bold single shades look elegant to wear. Have a semi-formal long dress on hand for not-so-formal day weddings. A short dress would also be okay to wear to a graduation affair. Have a black dress or suit on stand by which you could also use when you will be attending funeral rites or a religious service.

When going out for a special date, what you wear solely depends on the venue or on where you and your date will be going. If you will be going for some fine dining meal, then of course dress appropriately for the venue with maybe a semi-formal long dress or a cocktail dress if you are going to a very classy restaurant. For a casual date, wear a comfortable set of slim jeans or a skirt paired with a good looking top. A great set of heels should cap off your look. Nothing makes a girl look taller, leaner and sexier than a great pair of high heels.

For a simple party like maybe a birthday celebration, a luncheon or a baby shower, have a feminine casual look with maybe a sundress or a skirt paired with a soft looking top. Wear a cocktail dress with interesting details to stand out at a cocktail party or a night wedding occasion. Go for strapless to show some skin giving you that sexy look. A short dress would be more ideal for a cocktail affair.

For a black tie or a gala event, go all out with an elegant looking gown. Make it simple but sexy by showing some skin by either going strapless, or showing your back with a backless dress or exposing a bit of your smooth, slender legs. Don’t forget to wear jewelry or other accessories to give accent to your ensemble.

How Advances In Technology Have Affected Watches Over The Years

Without a watch faithfully telling people the exact time, many men and women feel naked. While walking down any street, count how many people are wearing watches compared to those without. A watch is the one thing that guarantees you are always on time for any meeting, appointment, or other event.

Technology is forever changing. With the advancements in technology, you will discover that watches also come with many interesting new features. While you can select your watch on appearance alone, it might be nice to select a watch that also offers a unique function that can help you with your daily routine. Despite the advancements in technology, you may be surprised to learn the history of watches. Battery operated watches are not as current as one might think.

In the fourteenth century, watches involved winding the motorized mechanism every day. Batteries were not used. Forgetting to wind the clock meant you would have to reset the time. Watches in the fourteenth century worked off a spring, oscillator, dial, watch hands, and gears.

The watch battery was not used until the 1960s. The popular watchmaker, Bulova, came up with a transistor oscillator that ran off the juice of a battery. Many found this new design to be easier to use, though it still posed many troublesome issues.

To run off battery power, the timing element on a watch had to be redesigned in order to fit in the necessary battery. Quartz crystals had been used in computers and radio equipment for years, so they were tested in watches and found to be excellent at keeping accurate time. With this troublesome issue resolved, manufacturers could produce watches with quartz timing.

When heated, quartz produces an electric charge. This charge creates the movement needed to turn the mechanisms that help keep proper time.

The quartz is carved into the shape of a tuning fork. The fork shaped crystal gives off a mild frequency that vibrates the other components causing them to move. One problem with quartz tuning is that no dust, dirt, or oils from hands can get on the crystal or it will fail to work effectively. It is essential that you not touch the inner mechanisms of your watch to keep it running efficiently.

The frequency emitted by the crystal can also power the circuits on a digital watch. Digital watches are increasingly popular due to their range of styles and colors. The watches appeal to young and old alike.

With ever changing advancements in watch technology, who knows what may be powering watches in years to come. Water, solar, even air could become potential power options for your wrist timepiece. The limits are endless. Therefore, be on the look out for new forms of time keeping in the near future!

Restoring The Neck To Its Youthful Appearance

Although a conventional facelift and neck liposuction smoothes and tightens the skin of the neck, it does not address the weakness in the underlying muscles. The muscles supporting the neck weaken as we age. Consequently, the middle of the neck may take on a sunken appearance and excess skin sags forming a "turkey wattle."

A neck-lift tightens the underlying neck muscles restoring the neck to its youthful appearance and makes the muscles less prone to further sagging as you age. A neck lift is usually performed in conjunction with a face lift and neck liposuction.

The procedure is performed in our offices-usually on an outpatient basis. A neck lift is usually performed with local anesthesia and sedation. With local anesthesia you’ll be awake during the procedure but anesthetized and relaxed. The surgery takes about 1 hour depending on the extent of the procedure.

Preparation

Eat a balanced nutrient-rich diet before surgery. A healthy diet will help speed recovery. Also plan ahead and prepare nutritious meals that are easy to warm up so that you won’t need to spend too much time in the kitchen during your recovery.

If you smoke, abstain from smoking for at least six weeks before and after surgery. This reduces the risk of infection and encourages faster healing.

Do not take any medicines containing aspirin or ibuprofen during the two weeks preceding surgery.

Do not eat or drink after midnight the night before surgery.

Be certain you do not have a cold or sunburn the day of surgery.

Do not wear make-up or contact lenses to surgery.

Arrange to have someone take you home after surgery and, if possible, help you around the house for a few days while you recover.

Procedure Overview

The surgeon makes a small incision under the chin. Through the incision, the edges of the platysmal muscles (the muscles running down the neck) are located, drawn together, and stitched at the midline. The back portion of these sheet-like muscles is tightened and fixed at the back of the neck on either side forming a strong sling of muscle that supports the entire neck and jaw.

Liposuction, if necessary, can be done through the same incision. The incision is stitched up and a soft dressing is placed around the head to protect the incisions.

What To Expect

After the procedure is over, patients may experience some numbness and mild swelling and/or discomfort at the incision site. This is normal and will pass with time. Incision site pain is usually minimal and can be controlled with medication, if necessary. Swelling can be treated with cold compresses.

Within two days you should be up and about, although you should continue to take it easy. The soft dressing around the head is usually removed within a day or so, but smaller bandages may be used for several days afterward. All dressings are removed within three to four days.

DO NOT turn your head for a few weeks. This allows the muscles time to heal. Pain medication may be prescribed for any pain, which will subside after the first few days. You may resume regular activity within a week. Swelling diminishes within two weeks and new facial contours emerge within four to six weeks.

Risks

As with any surgery there is the risk of complication. Complications associated with liposuction are usually minor and pass with time. Possible complications include bruising, infection, and reactions to the anesthesia. You can reduce your risk of complications by closely following instructions both before and after surgery.

The Allure of Designer Perfume

Women want to always feel their best, whether they are out for an elegant dinner or at a backyard barbecue. Many women are turning to designer perfume, clothing and accessories in order to be on “top of their game”. This is because designers are continually aware of current fashion trends. At any given moment, they know what is in style and they create beautiful quality clothing that makes a woman feel beautiful and feminine. Unlike designer clothing, designer perfume is not seen, but it is still appreciated as a cut above the rest.

Why Choose Designer Perfume?

Many women are under the assumption that since perfume cannot be seen, the perfume manufacturer is of little importance. This could not be further from the truth. Much time goes into creating each individual scent.

Designer perfumes are going to be made of the finest ingredients and will be tested repeatedly until the formula is nothing short of perfection. When purchasing a designer perfume, a woman can feel confident knowing that her preferred designer scent is going to last and not fade or smell like alcohol as the day progresses. This is a very important consideration when choosing the right perfume. Will it last all day and still have the same high quality scent as it did when it was first applied? That is the major difference between designer perfume and those of sub-standard quality.

Choose the Perfect Perfume

Choosing the right perfume is not simply purchasing a particular scent made by a favorite designer. Just because their clothing looks fabulous, does not mean that their scent will be complementary.

Every woman has a unique body chemistry. The same perfume will not smell alike on two different people. Just because a woman’s favorite designer has a scent that smells wonderful on a friend, does not necessarily mean that the same scent will have the same pleasing affect on her. This is why it is imperative that a woman auditions a scent before making a purchase. It could be a costly mistake to discover too late that a new designer perfume is not the right scent. It is easy to go to a department or designer store and try samples of various perfumes. A small spray on the inner wrist is the best way to test each perfume.

Where to Purchase Designer Perfume

Obviously, designers will sell their perfume at their store. Other specialty and department stores will also carry these perfumes. However, purchasing from one of these stores is likely to leave a small dent in someone’s wallet. When paying retail for a designer label, people are paying for the “name” as well as the perfume itself. It is possible to find these designer label perfumes at a deep discount from the original retail price.

The best place to find these designer scents, at a fraction of the retail price, is through the Internet. There are web sites that are able to sell these at a percentage of the cost. This is due to buying in bulk and taking a smaller percentage of the profit than the larger stores. The fact that they do not have to pay for a store, storage space or the overhead of large department stores helps to keep the cost low. An added benefit is there are no advertising costs. This is taken care of by the designer.

There is absolutely no reason to go to a retail store and pay retail price for a designer perfume. The exact same scent, by the same designer, can be purchased on the Internet at a fraction of the cost. A substantial savings is literally a mouse click away.

Designer perfume is always going to be head and shoulders above its competition. It will always be in high demand as it makes a woman feel special. Of course, she deserves only the very best!

Buttock Augmentation Recovery

When patients leave the surgery facility to go home, they are usually groggy for about 12 hours or overnight. It is very important to have someone who can assist you with getting around and taking your medications for at least the first 24 hours.

Make sure that you have all your medications, cold drinks, and towels at your bedside. Most people are nauseated during the first 24-48 hours. Take a nausea pill one hour before taking your pain pills or antibiotics. While it is good to drink plenty of liquids, refrain from drinking plain water or acidic fruit juices as they will make you more nauseated.

Do not be alarmed when blood-tinged tumescent fluid oozes from the sites of fat harvest or liposuction. This is a normal result of liposuction and usually stops within half a day.

The plastic surgeon leaves these tiny incisions exposed so that the liquid spills out, thereby minimizing bruising. You should cover your bed to avoid staining from this fluid. There should not be any drainage from the incision where the implant has been placed. If this happens, please inform your doctor.

There will be some swelling and some minimal bruising which dissipates five to eight weeks following surgery.

Following liposuction, fat injection, or implant placement, you are placed in a support garment. Do not remove this until your doctor instructs you to do so. Usually the patient removes their garment and takes a shower after 2 days. The first time that you remove your garment you will feel like you are going to faint. This is normal. Have someone with you at that time.

After your first shower you need to apply Vaseline or heavy lotion all over liposuctioned areas and the buttock skin to elevate the itchiness that is caused by the skin-drying effects of liposuction. This is a good time for you to start massaging the fat injection areas. You should massage these areas softly about three times a day for about six weeks. Sometimes, patients whose skin was not firm and elastic will experience dimpling of the skin. This can be eliminated or minimized by massaging and early exercise. If you have implants don’t get the incision wet until instructed by your surgeon.

For the first two weeks you should sleep on your stomach and not on your back. During this time you should avoid putting direct pressure on your buttock. If you have to sit, use a very soft cushion. From week three until six you should also sit on cushions when sitting for prolonged periods.

All surgical areas stay numb for four to eight weeks. Massage will help to desensitize your skin in order to avoid hypersensitivity or skin irritation.

The most important way that a person can contribute to having a great result is by being meticulous about conducting massage.

You need to meticulously clean your buttock implant incision in the shower and then after with alcohol after each bowl movement, or at least once daily for the first two weeks after surgery.

Patients will also feel a bruise-like or muscle cramp-like pain, particularly in the areas where fat was removed, and which will be addressed through a prescription from your surgeon.

Antibiotics are prescribed to reduce the risk of infection.

It is good to ambulate after surgery in order to prevent stagnation of blood in your legs and to reduce the chance of developing blood clots.

Support garments should be worn 24 hours a day for three weeks, and then during the daytime for the next three weeks. This will help to reduce swelling, and to help shrink the skin, and to form the buttock area.

When Can I Resume Work and Exercise?

Most patients can resume normal activities within two weeks after buttock implant placement, or within one week after fat grafting. After this time you can start gentle walking but must refrain from jogging or doing heavy physical activity or exercising until six weeks after surgery. You can do upper body exercising after two weeks. Most patients return to work within a week after fat grafting and after two weeks from buttock implant placement.

How Painful Is Buttock Augmentation?

Usually, fat injection is much less painful that buttock augmentation with implants. Fat injection feels mostly like a bad bruise while implant placement feels like a bad muscle cramp. These pains are manageable with prescribed medication.

When Can I Resume Sexual Relations?

Fat Injection does not hinder your ability to have sexual relations. However, you should resume sexual activity only as you feel comfortable in doing so. The desire to resume having sex varies from patient to patient. On the other hand, with buttock implant placement you should avoid having any strenuous sex for about six weeks after surgery.

Are You Doing These Things To Correct Your Dry, Tired Feet?

Foot care begins with nutrients, removal of toxins, and an infusion of moisture. If you are eating good, organic food and drinking plenty of water, doing regular foot massages will increase circulation which will increase the nutrients to you skin cells and will and aids in the removal of toxins.

Increased internal moisture is also a great benefit that your skin will get through a healthy diet, fluid intake, and regular foot massage.

You can examine and change your diet and fluid intake, and see a manicurist regularly to achieve these benefits or you can learn to pamper your feet at home. I do have to tell you that the good side to home massage is that you spend less money, but the bad side is that you do not receive the same relaxation that you would by visiting a manicurist. If you want beautiful feet from home, check out our sections on diet to learn more about what you should be eating to achieve healthy skin, drink your water, and do the following massage at least once per week.

In order to do a proper foot massage, you will want a lotion or oil that can be warmed. Many times, you will find that warming in the microwave will work, but you should be very careful using this method. The emollient (lotion or oil) can get very hot very quickly in the microwave. It is better to find a product that is packaged in individual packets which are designed to be placed in a bowl of hot water to warm them. You can often find these for hair care and they are fine to use for your foot massage.

You will need a mild cleanser, a footbath full of warm water, a hand towel (you will get oil or lotion on this so do not choose that hand-embroidered towel that has been passed through generations), and the above-mentioned emollient that you can warm. The water in your footbath should be fairly warm but not hot. You want to help soften your skin to prepare it for the massage, but you do not want to strip natural oils from your skin. Make sure that you are wearing older, shorts or pants that you can roll (or otherwise fix) your sleeves up to your elbow.

First, rest both feet in the footbath, and let them soak until they begin to feel relaxed. You may choose to do the massage as part of a bath, which makes it easier to soak your feet and legs comfortably.

Second, smooth the warm oil (or warm lotion) all over both of your lower legs and feet from the knee to the tips of your nails, getting between each toe and along each nail.

Begin to massage by using your thumb and fingertips to gently rub small circles along the lower leg, starting at the knee and working all the way to the ankle. If you thumb cannot comfortably massage a portion of the leg, use the fingertips.

Once you have massaged the entire leg, you should be at your ankle. Ankles tend to swell throughout the day due to various triggers. This inflammation can slow the circulation to your feet, which is why you want to spend some extra massage time here. Massage both the inner and outer wrist in tiny circles.

Resting the back of your foot on the fingers of your hand, place your thumb on the sole. You will feel plenty of muscle in this area and will probably feel quite a bit of tension in these muscles. Massage tiny circles over each muscle, relieving the tension in them. If a muscle feels particularly tight, massage it until it begins to loosen. Once your palm muscles are fairly limber, you are ready to move to the toes.

Begin at the base of your pinky (smallest) toe with your massaging fingertips on the back and your massaging thumb on the palm side of the finger. Rub small circles with both your thumb and fingers at the same time; work from the base to the tip. Repeat this finger massage two times on each finger and on your thumb.

Turn your foot over and rub tiny circles around each nail, making sure to massage all the way around each nail.

Repeat the process on the other leg and foot, wiping excess oil from both legs and feet using the hand towel.

How Diamonds Are Rated According To Their Clarity And Fluorescence

Diamonds are rated according to their clarity. Their mirror like effect makes them more valuable. However most of us find it very difficult to choose the right diamond. There are four Cs of a diamond, popularly known as cut, clarity, color and carat weight, which helps us choose the our ideal diamonds. But most of us are unaware of the other qualities that a diamond possesses. Diamonds are known for their fluorescence, which means that when diamonds are put under the ultraviolet rays they fluoresce or shine very brightly. This quality is not present in any other precious stone.

Diamonds are called a woman’s best friend. It is the perfect gift to give your lady love, as it symbolizes romance and love. It is one of the most powerful gemstones ever, which absorbs the negative energy that come towards us. They are known to calm the brain and relax our minds.

What makes the diamond so special is the way it is polished. If the diamond hasn’t been polished well, is decreases the value of the gem. They are usually graded as to how much of blue is there in the diamond. Diamonds can be light blue, faint blue, medium blue and so on. The blue tinges in diamonds increases the shine or fluoresce, making it look dazzling. Whereas the over all color of the body of the stone should be white. However, people prefer the colorless mirror-like effect in the diamond rather than the blue tinge.

Diamonds are a polymorph of the element carbon and are widely found in the mines of South Africa and Europe. Due to the change in preferences, diamond lapidarists make sure they bring the colorless shine to the gem and reduce the blue tinge as much as possible. While buying a diamond you should be very careful and always cross check which diamond you are buying. You should check the diamonds fluoresce not only in sunlight but also under the jewelers back light, which will bring out the clarity and shine of the diamond clearly.

Diamonds are not a very rare gem, but the distribution has been controlled by the market, which makes it such an expensive and valuable precious stone. To get a pure diamond these days is close to impossible. However they are rated in grades, which describe the purity. A grade D is the perfect diamond, G is a very expensive grade of diamonds, H is the more reasonable and affordable grade of diamonds, which has a beautiful shine.

Always make sure before buying your diamond that it doesn’t have a pink, orange or yellow tinge in it, as that shows the poor quality of the diamond. Unless it is a pink blue or yellow colored diamond itself.
